SHAWNEE, Okla. –
Bobby Johnson posted a career-high 28 points to lead to lead a group of five players in double-figures for Southeastern on its way to an 82-64 victory over Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday afternoon in Shawnee, Okla.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 7-1 on the season and 3-0 in Great American Conference play, stretching the team's winning streak to seven in-a-row.

Johnson was on fire from beyond the arc, hitting 8-of-12 from three-point-range on his way to 28 points and a new career high, all off the bench in a total of 23 minutes played.

Ante Brzovic was next in line with 13 points, also off the bench, and rounded out a double-double with a game-high 12 rebounds.

Kellen Manek hit a trio of threes to finish with 11, while
Adam Dworsky and
Jett Sternberger each finished with 10.

Dworsky just missed a double-double with a game-high nine assists, while Sternberger dished out five and Manek added four.

SE got off to a slow start out of the gate, shooting 1-of-5 off the tip and found themselves in am 8-2 hole by the 16:00 mark of the first half.

However, at the 15:03 mark Johnson would get his night started, hitting his first of back-to-back threes and a minute and a half later the Storm took an 11-10 lead on a Manek three.

The teams would trade buckets on the way to a 17-17 tie with 11:10 to play in the half.

From that point SE put together an 8-2 run to stretch the lead to 25-19 on a
Kyle Leslie three.

OBU would once again narrow the gap to two points, but the Storm again found an answer with a Dworsky three triggering a 21-12 run over the final minutes of the half, with a Sternberger buzzer-beater giving SE a 46-35 lead at the half.

The lead would stretch to 14 points early, but the Bison would cut the Storm advantage to eight points at 51-43 with 16:38 to play.

OBU would keep it hovering in single digits till the 12:40 mark when a Brzovic layup would kick off an 11-2 run capped by a Johnson three to take a 70-52 lead with 8:56 remaining.

OBU would close the gap to 15 points with 4:20 to play, but a final answer from the Storm that included another Johnson three to push the lead to 20 points before settling on an 82-66 final score.
