Southeastern Set for Quarterfinal at UAM

DURANT, Okla. – After cruising to an opening round win, No. 4 Seed Southeastern will make its first trip into Arkansas of the season to take on the top-seeded team in the Eastern Division in Arkansas-Monticello at 7:30 p.m. on March 3 in Monticello, Ark.   
The Savage Storm head into Wednesday's matchup with an 8-10 record after an 82-56 win over Southwestern Oklahoma State on Monday night.
 
In that matchup, Bobby Johnson paced all scorers on the night with 22 points on a 7-of-12 shooting effort that included a 5-of-8 mark from beyond the arc.
 
He was joined in the 20-point club by Vadim Clanet who turned in 20 exactly on a 7-of-13 performance with six threes.
 
Kellen Manek posted his second double-double of the season, turning in 15 points while pulling down a career-high 15 rebounds.
 
Adam Dworsky rounded out the double-digit scoring for the Storm with 15 points while adding a game-high six assists and chipping in six rebounds and four steals.
 
Dworsky also added first team All-GAC honors to his resume on Tuesday, while Manek took home honorable mention all-conference recognition.
 
Dworsky's 15.2 ppg lead the offense on the season, while his 6.9 assists per outing paces the entire conference.
 
Manek is hauling in 8.1 rebounds per outing and is next in line on offense with 13.6 ppg.
 
Johnson and Clanet are both averaging in double-figures with 12.3 and 12.1 ppg, respectively.
 
UAM comes into the matchup off a bye on Monday night and wrapped the regular season with a 13-4 record overall and a 12-4 mark in GAC-Eastern Division play.
 
The Boll Weevils are paced by Miles Daniels who is putting up 15.0 ppg, while Denzel McDuffey and Dajuan Jones are averaging 13.6 and 13.2 ppg, respectively.
 
Lemmie Howard rounds out the double-digit averages with 10.2 ppg.
 
McDuffey leads the team on the boards with 7.8 rpg, while Jones is dishing out 5.6 assists per game.
