DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern looks to take one more step in defending its 2020 Great American Conference Championship when it sets out on Friday, March 5 for a 5:30 p.m. matchup with Arkansas Tech in Russellville, Ark., in the semifinals of the GAC Tournament.

The Savage Storm, the No. 2 seed in the west division, picked up a 73-55 win on Wednesday night over Harding to improve to 12-7 overall on the season.

The Golden Suns, the top seed in the east division, advanced to the semifinals after an 86-62 win over East Central to improve to 14-1 on the year.

Briley Moon and
Kamryn Cantwell each reached the 20-point plateau to lead Southeastern to its win over Harding on Wednesday night.

Moon led all scorers and just missed her career high, finishing with 27 points on 9-of-17 shooting overall and 6-of-9 from beyond the arc.

Cantwell finished with 20 on 6-of-15 shooting with a 6-of-6 effort at the free throw line.

Chandler Kemp just missed double-figures with eight points.

Cantwell and Moon each hauled in six rebounds to lead all players on the boards, while Moon handed out a team-high four assists with Cantwell and
Haiden Williams dishing out three apiece.

Jaleigh Oglesby posted 19 points and Ashlei Lopez added 18 for ATU in its win over the Tigers, while Jayana Sanders dished out six assists and Nikki Metcalfe and Sydnee Wynn grabbed eight rebounds.

On the season, Lopez has paced the Golden Suns on offense with 17.2 ppg, while Metcalfe is hauling in 6.7 rebounds per game and Sanders is dishing out 5.1 assists.
