BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Southeastern closed out its Great American Conference Tournament run with a narrow 4-3 loss to Harding in the finals on Saturday afternoon in Bentonville, Ark.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 14-9 overall on the season and they will now wait to hear their postseason fate when the NCAA Regional Bids are announced on May 4.

SE fell behind in doubles play as Harding took the one and two doubles spots by matching 6-4 scores to take a 1-0 lead.

The Bisons would stretch the lead to 2-0 before
Vanessa Nitu would get the Storm on the board with a come-from-behind 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 win at number two.

Zulay Castaneda was the next to finish and knocked off the conference player of the year in the number one position 6-4, 6-4 to even the match at 2-2.

India Shiaelis would give SE the lead at 3-2 after pulling off a comeback win at number five, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.

However, HU would pick up the win at number six and number four, both in three sets, to swipe the match 4-3.
