SE Checks In with Nikki Nester

DURANT, Okla. – In the latest SE Check In presented by First Texoma National Bank, former Southeastern women's basketball player Nikki Nester joins Seth Dutton to discuss her years on the court and catch up on what has been happening since.
 
Nester, a native of Dallas, Texas, came to Southeastern in 2008 and spent four seasons on the Savage Storm roster between 2008 and 2012.
 
Over that span, she picked up a pair of All-Conference honors, once in the Lone Star Conference North Division and later in the Great American Conference.
 
Over four seasons she piled up 854 career points, 264 rebounds and 335 assists, and her assists total ranks sixth all-time for a career.
 
After graduating with her degree in health, physical education, and recreation, Nester moved into the coaching and teaching word.
 
She first spent five years at her alma mater Bishop Lynch as a P.E. teacher and assistant coach before moving to Ursuline Academy of Dallas three years ago and becoming a head coach and an associate athletic director.
