DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will be looking to close out its current home stand with a pair of wins as it welcomes rival East Central at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 13 in Bloomer Sullivan Arena before hosting Southwestern Oklahoma State at 3 p.m. on Jan. 15.

The Savage Storm head into the weekend with an 11-2 record on the season and tied for the lead in the Great American Conference at 6-1.

SE has also won back-to-back contests, both in league play, and has won 11 of its last 12 games.

The Storm most recently cruised to a 103-73 win over Southern Arkansas this past Saturday and since being picked fourth in the preseason GAC poll, has beaten all three teams picked ahead of them by double-digit scores.

Southeastern's run has also picked up plenty of individual attention over that span as the team has taken home five GAC Player of the Week honors, with
Adam Dworsky earning his second of the season following the sweep of Arkansas-Monticello and SAU this past weekend.

Dworsky averaged a double-double on the weekend and is putting up 15.4 ppg and averaging 7.4 assists per outing, which ranks sixth in the nation.

Jett Sternberger leads the Storm in scoring with 19.4 ppg, while
Ante Brzovic is next in line with 15.5 ppg, followed by
Kellen Manek at 14.1 and
Bobby Johnson at 12.8, bringing the total number of double-digit scorers to five.

Brzovic leads the way on the board for SE with 9.9 rpg, while Manek is next up at 6.9 per outing.

Southeastern's offense is averaging a league-best 87.3 ppg while carrying an average margin of victory of 16.5 ppg.

SE is ranked in the top two in all three shooting categories as a team, leading the way from beyond the arc at 42.3 percent while hitting 78.2 percent at the free throw line. The Storm ranks second in overall shooting at 49.6 percent.

East Central comes to town with a 5-8 record overall and a 3-4 mark in GAC play following a split last weekend with a win over SAU and a loss to UAM.

The Tigers are averaging 75.8 ppg and are led by Josh Apple's 14.8 ppg while Romello Wilbert is handing out 3.0 assists per contest.

Apple also leads the team in rebounding at 7.9 rpg while Wilbert is pulling down 7.0 per outing.

SWOSU will be the first rematch of the season for the Storm who snuck out of Weatherford, Okla., with a one-point win way back on Dec. 2.

The Bulldogs come in with a 3-9 record on the year and a 2-5 record in GAC play.

Damion Thornton leads the way with 19.0 ppg and 7.5 rebounds per contest, while Kamden Gipson is dishing out 2.9 assists per game.
