Savage Storm Return Home to Face HU, ATU

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will return home to Bloomer Sullivan Arena looking to get back in the win column when it welcomes Harding at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 27 followed by a Jan. 29 contest with Arkansas Tech at 1 p.m.
 
The Savage Storm head into the weekend with a 7-9 record on the season and a 5-5 mark in Great American Conference play, but have dropped two in-a-row following a four-game winning streak.
 
Kamryn Cantwell leads the Storm offense with 15.7 ppg while shooting 46.2 percent overall and handing out a team-leading 3.3 assists per game.
 
Briley Moon is right on her heels in scoring with 15.1 ppg while hitting 42.7 percent overall and 41.8 percent from three-point range while also leading the team on the board with 6.7 rebounds per outing.
 
A trio of players follow in the offensive column, averaging five points per game or more, with Chandler Kemp putting up 6.3 per game, followed by Lauren Beason at 5.9 and Caitlin Kobiske at 5.1.
 
SE still holds an edge in shooting over its opponents, 42-.6-to-39.1 percent from the field overall and 33.2-to-28.6 percent from beyond the arc.
 
Harding comes to town with a 12-5 record overall on the season and an 8-4 mark in GAC play, riding a four-game winning streak.
 
SE handed the Bisons an 84-75 loss in Searcy, Ark., back on Jan. 1.
 
Sage Hawley leads HU on offense with 17.1 ppg while shooting 51.6 percent from the floor and pulling down a team-best 9.9 rebounds per contest.
 
ATU enters the weekend with a 9-7 record overall and a 6-6 mark in conference play, going 2-4 over its last six games.
 
The Storm also picked up a win over the Golden Suns in Russellville, Ark., back on Dec. 31 by a 75-69 score.
 
Kaley Shipman leads ATU with 18.1 ppg on the season, while Lori Tasker is handing out 3.3 assists per game and Sydnee Wynn is pulling in 9.0 rebounds per outing.
