DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern men's basketball will open its 2022-23 season with one of its longest road trips as it treks north to Wayne, Neb., for the GAC/NSIC Crossover, first taking on host Wayne State at 6 p.m. on Nov. 11 before following up with a 4 p.m. contest with Minnesota State-Moorhead on Nov. 12.

The Savage Storm are coming off a regular season Great American Conference Championship after posting a 24-6 record a season ago which included an 18-4 mark in GAC play.

SE enters the season picked fourth in the GAC preseason poll.

The Storm return All-GAC selection
Jett Sternberger from last year's squad after he averaged 16.4 ppg while shooting 43.8 percent from the floor and 37.9 percent from beyond the arc.

He is joined by
RJ Weeks and
Kyle Leslie who each averaged more than 14 minutes per game, with each averaging 4.1 ppg.

Southeastern will be replacing four players who picked up GAC honors last season, including GAC Player of the Year Adam Dworsky, as well as fellow graduates Kellen Manek, and Bobby Johnson.

The Storm will be looking to replace its losses with six new additions, including transfers
Brennen Burns,
Kody Clouet, and
Jameson Richardson.

SE will also be working into action four players who redshirted in 2021-22.

WSC comes into the season picked first in the NSIC South Division and third in the league overall, returning four starters from last year's team that was 14-12 overall and placed third in the NSIC South Division with an 11-8 league record.

MSUM was picked second in the NSIC preseason poll and comes into the year ranked 21
st in the NABC National Poll following a 19-12 mark a season ago.
