Briley Moon and
Lauren Beason combined for 31 points in the season opener, while
Caitlin Kobiske posted a career-high 28 points in game two, but neither performance was enough to lifts Southeastern to a win, dropping the season-opener versus Minto State 72-63 before stumbling in Sunday afternoon's rematch 73-55 in Sterling, Colo.

The Savage Storm drop to 0-2 to start the season and will be back in action Nov. 18-19 at the MSU Classic in Wichita Falls, Texas.

In Saturday night's contest, Moon turned in 16 points on the back of a 4-for-7 effort from beyond the arc while adding eight rebound and an assist.

Beason was right behind with 15 points while shooting 50 percent from the floor.

Kobiske chipped in seven points and handed out a team-high four assists with four rebounds.

Abbie Barr turned in nine points off the bench, while
Holli Lindley added eight points and grabbed six rebounds.

The Storm shot 55.6 percent for the first half and score 20-points in each quarter, taking a 47-42 lead at the halftime break.

The second half saw the offense slow, scoring seven points in the third and nine in the furth as MSU would take the lead in the fourth and swipe the 72-63 win.

In the rematch on Sunday afternoon, Kobiske turned in a career-high 28 points, shooting 10-of-21 from the floor and hitting 8-of-8 from the free throw line while also pulling down seven rebounds.

Grace Alverson added 10 points in the effort.

Moon dished out a game-high six assists and added three rebounds.

SE fell behind early and found itself playing catch up the entire contest, twice closing the gap to within two possessions, but ultimately MSU would pull away for the 72-55 final score.
