Ante Brzovic led a trio of double-digit scorers with a 20-point outing as Southeastern held off a late rally on its way to a 78-69 victory over Arkansas-Monticello on Saturday afternoon in Monticello, Ark.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 17-5 overall on the year and 12-4 in Great American Conference play.

"We got good help from our bench today I thought," said head coach
Kelly Green. "Early in the game we put Enzo in and he did a nice job for us defensively, and then Al got in and did a nice job defensively. RJ got the ball moving for us, and then
Kyle Leslie came in, especially in the second half, and got his little run going and hit some big shots to open up the lead."

Brzovic finished with 23 points on 8-of-15 shooting with three threes while also hauling in a team-high seven rebounds.

Adam Dworsky was right on his heels with 19 points on 6-of-9 shooting with three threes as well, while dishing out a game-high eight assists.

Kyle Leslie came off the bench to put up 11 points, with nine of them coming off a trio of threes.

Jett Sternberger finished with seven points and six rebounds, while
Kellen Manek added six points and four assists.

Southeastern shot 52.8 percent overall from the field and hit 12-of-26 from three-point range.

The Storm scored first as Dworsky connected on a three on the first possession of the game, but UAM would score nine of the next 11 points to take a 9-5 lead by the 15:41 mark.

Southeastern answered with seven-straight, capped by a
Bobby Johnson jumper to take a 12-9 lead.

However, UAM answered with a 10-2 run to take a 19-14 lead with 6:15 to play in the first half.

The Storm would answer by reeling off a 14-2 run, going up 28-21 on a Brzovic three before settling on a 28-23 lead at the half.

SE would edge the lead to double figures by the 15:44 mark on a Dworsky three.

UAM would answer with a bucket, but the Storm would use a 22-9 run capped by a Johnson three to push the lead out to 62-40 with 9:12 to play.

The lead remained above 20 points until the 6:27 mark and the Boll Weevils would close out the final six minutes on a 20-9 run to trim Southeastern's final winning margin to 78-69.
