Storm Enter Four-Game Season-Ending Home Stretch

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern heads into the home stretch of the season when it welcomes Henderson State for a 5:30 p.m. contest on Feb. 17 and Ouachita Baptist for a 1 p.m. matchup on Feb. 19 in the first of four-straight home games to end the 2021-22 season.

Thursday night will also serve as senior night for a trio of Southeastern players as Jordan Benson, Chandler Kemp, and Haiden Williams will be recognized for their careers.

The Savage Storm head into that stretch with a 10-14 record overall on the season and an 8-10 mark in Great American Conference play.

That puts SE in a tie for eighth place in the league standings and looking to improve its chances of earning a berth in the GAC Tournament which takes the top eight teams in the standings at the end of the season.

The Storm are looking to bounce back from a Tuesday-night, makeup date loss to East Central as well as aiming to avenge losses to HSU and OBU from earlier in the season on the road.

To get back on track, SE will be looking to Kamryn Cantwell and Briley Moon who have paced the offense all season, with Cantwell putting up 15.3 ppg while Moon is averaging 13.3 ppg.

Kemp is next in line with 7.1 per outing, while Lauren Beason and Caitlin Kobiske are both averaging over five per game.

Moon also paces the Storm on the boards with 6.3 rpg, while Cantwell has handed out 3.3 assists per game so far on the season.

HSU comes in with a 14-10 record on the season and a 9-9 mark in GAC play.

The Reddies are paced by Ashley Farrar's 17.3 ppg on offense, while Karrington Whitley is pulling down 8.0 rpg.

OBU comes into the weekend with an 8-14 record overall and a 6-12 mark in league play.

The Tigers are led by Aspen Thornton who is putting up 23.5 ppg, while Makayla Miller is hauling in a team-best 6.4 rpg.
