Storm Return to Action with SNU, SWOSU Matchups

DURANT, Okla. – With the week-ending winter storm forcing adjustments to the schedule, Southeastern is set to return to action on Feb. 5 with a 3 p.m. road-matchup against Southern Nazarene in Bethany, Okla., before returning home for a 7:30 p.m. contest with Southwestern Oklahoma State in Bloomer Sullivan Arena on Feb. 7.
 
Saturday's matchup is being played as originally scheduled, while Monday's contests are makeup games for missing the home contest with the Bulldogs back on Jan. 15.
 
The Savage Storm heads into the weekend with a 14-4 mark overall on the season and a 9-3 record in GAC play and aiming to retake the top spot in the standings, trailing Oklahoma Baptist by a half-game.
 
SE is riding a two-game winning streak that started with a 115-58 win over Harding, the largest margin of victory ever in a GAC contest, followed by the Storm erasing a 22-point deficit for a 74-67 win over Arkansas tech in its last outing before Thursday's contest at ECU was postponed.
 
Southeastern continues to spread its offense around with five players averaging 13-or-more points per game, led by Jett Sternberger at 178.9 with Ante Brzovic's 17.1 right behind.
 
Adam Dworsky is right on their heels at 16.8 per outing, with Bobby Johnson putting up 13.8 and Kellen Manek 13.7.
 
Brzovic is averaging a double-double with 10.2 rebounds per game, while Dworsky is handing out a league-high 7.3 assists per game.
 
SNU comes into the weekend with a 14-5 record overall on the year and a 9-4 mark in GAC play, riding a 10-game winning streak.
 
They are led offensively by Tyler McGhie's 16.9 ppg and Xavier Bryant's 4.7 assists per contest, while Mo Wilson is hauling in a team-leading 5.4 rebounds per game.
 
SWOSU enters the weekend with a 7-10 record overall and a 6-6 mark in GAC play and are coming off a loss to Arkansas-Monticello which snapped a four-game winning streak.
 
The Bulldogs are paced by Damion Thornton on offense who is putting up 20.5 ppg while Kamden Gipson is handing out 3.6 assists per game.  Thornton also leads the team on the glass with 8.1 rebounds per outing.
