ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Despite scoring first and leading in both games, Southeastern found itself on the wrong end of a par of Saturday losses at Henderson State, dropping the opener 8-2 before falling in the finale 6-5 in Arkadelphia, Ark.

The losses drop the Savage Storm to 28-18 overall and 17-13 in Great American Conference play.

In game one,
Richard Ware collected a pair of hits to lead the way, while
Seth Morrow,
Matt Miles, and
Reid Rice added one each.
Â
Morrow's went for a home run, while Rice doubled.
Â
Morrow collected an RBI as did
Brett Gonzalez.
Â
Dylan Turner got the start and was saddled with the loss after allowing five runs on 11 hits over 4.2 innings with two strikeouts.

Jacob Potter followed Turner and tossed 2.1 innings, allowing two runs on two hits with two strikeouts.
Â
KC Bryan finished the game for the Storm with one inning of work, allowing a run on two hits.

Morrow gave the Storm a lead to open the game with a leadoff home run to open the game.

SE pushed the lead to 2-0 in the second when Gonzalez brought home Alex Ochoa on a sac fly.

HSU would answer with two runs in the second to tie the game, before adding three runs in the fifth, two more in the seventh and a final run in the eighth to go ahead 8-2 which would hold up as the final score.

In the finale,
Matt Miles posted a three-hit outing with a pair of RBI to lead the Storm offense, while
Richard Ware,
Damon Burroughs, and
Bryce McDermott each added a hit.

Morrow and McDermott each added an RBI.

Cole Canuteson got the start and tossed 3.2 innings, allowing four runs on three hits with four strikeouts.

Jordan Compton followed with 1.1 innings pitched without allowing a run or a hit while adding one strikeout.

Jackson Sioson came on to finish he contest and took the loss after allowing two runs on one hit in 1.2 innings of work.

Mile put SE on the board with a two-run double in the top of the third, followed by an RBI groundout by Morrow to give the Storm a 3-0 lead.

That lead would disappear in the fourth as HSU got a three-run homer and a solo shot to take a 4-3 lead.

McDermott would then tie the game in the sixth with an RBI single, before Miles gave SE the lead at 5-4 in the top of the sixth by scoring on a wild pitch.

The Reddies would load the bases and tie the game by scoring on a double play. The game would unfortunately come to an end when HSU scored the game winner on a wild pitch to make the final score 6-5.
