DURANT, Okla. –
Matt Miles collected two of Southeastern's four homers on the day while
Cole Canuteson tossed a complete-game shutout in the series finale as Southeastern swept a Saturday doubleheader by scores of 4-3 and 5-0 to finish a series sweep of rival East Central at Mike Metheny Field.

The wins lift the Savage Storm to 32-18 overall on the season and 20-13 in Great American Conference play. SE will head into next week's conference tournament in Hot Springs, Ark., as the No. 4 seed with a tournament opening contest versus Ouachita Baptist on May 7 at 9:30 a.m.

Saturday also served as senior day for 10 Southeastern players who are playing their final home games with the Savage Storm.

In game one,
Blake McQuain picked up a pair of hits, including a double, to lead the Storm offense, while six others picked up one hit, with Miles and Ramirez homering and
Hayden Evans adding a double.

Miles drove in a pair of runs on his homer, while Rmiarez drove in a run on his solo shot and Evans added an RBI.

Dylan Turner got the start and tossed two innings and was tagged for two runs on four hits with a strikeout in a no decision.

Coby Langford followed with three scoreless innings and allowed a hit while striking out one.

Hayden Alexander followed with one-third of an inning, allowing a run while striking out one before
Jordan Compton took over to toss 1.2 innings, scattering two hits and no runs with one strikeout while picking up the victory.

Kenneth Klier would throw the final two innings on his way to his third save of the season after allowing one hit and striking out one.

ECU would take the lead in the top of the first with an RBI double and stretch the advantage to 2-0 with a sac fly in the top of the second.

Evans would put the Storm on the board in the bottom of the fourth with an RBI double to close the gap to 2-1.

Miles would put SE in front for the first time in the game with a two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth inning, taking a 3-2 lead.

The Tigers would answer with a run in the top of the sixth, but the Storm would get the last word as Ramirez would soar a solo shot over the left-field wall to give SE a 4-3 lead which would hold up as the final.

The series finale turned into the Canuteson show as he would toss a complete game, striking out a season-high 11 hitters over seven innings without allowing a run and scattering three hits to move to 6-1 on the season.

Bryce McDermott would collect a pair of hits, while Miles, McQuain, and
Cameron French each added one.

Miles would homer a second time on the day and drive in two runs, with McDermott adding two RBI as well. French would tack on a final RBI.
Miles would put the Storm on the board in the fifth inning with a two-run homer to jump out to a 2-0 lead.

A French single in the sixth would push the lead out to 3-0 before McDermott tacked on a pair of insurance runs later in the inning with a two-run homer, giving Southeastern a 5-0 lead which would hold up as the final.
