Storm Men Set for South Arkansas Road Swing

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern sets out to get back in the win column as it makes its first trip to Arkansas for the 2022-23 season when it first heads to Monticello, Ark., to take on Arkansas-Monticello at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 12 followed by a Jan. 14 matchup with Southern Arkansas at 3 p.m.
 
The Savage Storm enter the weekend with a 6-5 record on the year and a 3-3 mark in Great American Conference play following a pair of losses to open the new year.
 
SE features four double-digit scorers led by Jett Sternberger who is putting up 19.8 ppg, while Brennen Burns is adding 13.4 per contest, followed by Kody Clouet at 12.9 and Landon Condiff with 11.8 per outing.
 
Burns is dishing out a team-leading 4.8 assists per game to help trigger the offense, while the team as a whole is averaging a league-best 17.5 assists per outing.
 
Kyle Leslie leads the team on the boards with 7.1 rpg, while three others are averaging at least 4.5 rebounds per game or more.
 
UAM comes into Thursday's contest with a 5-7 record on the season and a 1-5 mark in league play and are riding a three-game losing streak.
 
The Boll Weevils have five players averaging in double-figures, led by Edwin Louis who is putting up 13.0 ppg, while also leading the team in assists with 3.5 per outing. Isaac Jackson leads the team in rebounding with 5.1 per game.
 
SAU enters the weekend at 9-3 on the season with a 5-1 record in GAC play and riding a six-game winning streak.
 
The Muleriders feature a group of five players averaging in double-figures, led by Blake Rogers who is putting up 11.7 ppg, while LaTreavin Black and Carel Ray Jr. each average a team-best 7.3 rebounds per game.
