Southeastern Travels to UAM, SAU

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will aim to carry over momentum from its upset win over Harding when it hits the road for its first Arkansas road swing of the year, first taking on Arkansas-Monticello at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 12 in Monticello, Ark., before closing out the road trip with a 1 p.m. matchup with Southern Arkansas on Jan. 14 in Magnolia, Ark.
 
The Savage Storm come into the weekend with a 4-7 record on the year and a 2-4 mark in Great American Conference play and are coming off a win over previously unbeaten in conference Harding.
 
Grace Alverson posted 20 points on the strength of six threes in that contest while Caitlin Kobiske added 19 points in the effort.
 
Overall on the season Briley Moon has led the offense to the tune of 16.4 ppg while Kobiske is adding 14.0 ppg and averaging a team-best 7.5 rebounds per contest.
 
Aimee Alverson leads the team in assists with 3.3 per game.
 
UAM comes into Thursday's contest with a 4-8 record on the season and a 1-5 mark in league play after opening the new year with back-to-back road losses.
 
The Cotton Blossoms are led by Bailey Harris who is averaging 14.4 ppg, while Joi Montgomery is right behind with 11.9 ppg and a team-best 6.4 rebounds per outing.
 
SAU enters the weekend at 5-7 on the season with a 1-5 record in GAC play following a road split to open the spring semester.
 
The Muleriders feature a trio of double-digit scorers led by Diamond Morris at 12.3 ppg. Morris also leads the way in assists with 3.4 per game as well as rebounds with 6.3 rpg.
