Jett Sternberger and
Brennen Burns each dropped 20-points to help lead Southeastern to an 83-71 rivalry victory over East Central on Monday night in Ada, Okla.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 10-6 overall and 7-4 in Great American Conference play.
Â
Sternberger led all scorers with 23 points while shooting 8-of-16 from the field with a pair of threes.
Â
Burns was right on his heels with 21 points on 7-of-12 shooting, hitting both threes he took.
Â
Kody Clouet joined the pair in double-figures with 11 points, while
Kyle Leslie added nine.

Landon Condiff and
Robert Briley each turned in seven points off the bench.
Â
Burns also led all players with six assists while leading the team on the boards with six.

Clouet added five rebounds, while Leslie, Sternberger, and Condiff hauled in four apiece.

Starting with a Leslie three to open scoring, the Storm would reel off 10-straight points to open play and would stretch that lead to 18-2 by the 14:37 mark when Sternberger drained a three.

ECU would chip away at the big Southeastern lead over the next nine minutes, closing the gap to 34-30 with 5:11 to play in the half.

The Storm responded with a 10-0 run capped by a Condiff three with 2:36 to play in the first half, and a Burns pull up jumper with under a minute to play would give Southeastern a 46-35 lead at the half.

The Tigers would narrow the gap to four points just over four minutes into he second half, but a Sternberger three would slow that run and set off a 16-3 run that saw the Storm push its lead to a game-high 17 points at 66-49 with 8:05 to play.

ECU would answer with its own run, reeling off a 14-2 run to close the gap to 68-63 with 4:36 remaining.

The Tigers would close the difference to five points one more time at the 2:34, but a Burns three would end that run as well, with the Storm outscoirng ECU 11-4 down the stretch to secure an 83-71 victory.
