SE Looks to Extend Streak Versus ATU, HU

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will be looking to pick up where it left off before Christmas in the midst of a four-game winning streak as it jumps back into Great American Conference play when it hosts Arkansas Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 5 followed by a Jan. 7 matchup versus Harding at 3 p.m., both in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
 
The Savage Storm enter the first weekend of the new year with a 6-3 record overall on the season and a 3-1 mark in conference play, but have reeled off four-straight wins, reaching 100-plus points in two of those contests.
 
SE is averaging 89.0 ppg on the season and the offense is paced by Jett Sternberger who leads a group of five double-digit scorers with 19.8 ppg.
 
Brennen Burns is next in line with 13.4 ppg, followed by Kody Clouet with 12.8.
 
Landon Condiff and Kyle Leslie round out the scoring group with 12.3 ppg and 10.1 ppg, respectively.
 
Leslie leads the way on the boards with 6.4 rpg, while Clouet is right on his heels at 6.0 per outing.

Burns has dished out a team-best 5.3 assists per game, while the team is averaging a league-leading 17.4 assist per game.
 
ATU enters Thursday's contest with a 5-5 record overall on the year and a 3-1 mark in league play after a loss to Southern Arkansas to end the fall semester.
 
The Wonder Boys are led by Taelon Peter who is averaging 15.3 ppg while Wes Harris is next in line with 12.8 ppg and a team-best 7.1 rebounds per game. Andre Leavell leads the team in assists with 2.5 per game.
 
HU comes into the weekend with a 4-6 record on the season overall and an 0-4 count in GAC games.
 
Taylor Currie leads the way for the Bisons with 22.2 ppg and 9.0 rebounds per outing, while JT Smith has dished out 2.6 assists per game.
