Caitlin Kobiske and
Holli Lindley each turned in double-doubles and Southeastern used a 30-5 third quarter to erase an 11-point halftime deficit and pull away with a 77-62 win over Midwestern State on Saturday afternoon in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 3-1 on the season heading into a trip to Edmond, Okla., for the UCO Classic Nov. 21-22 where they will face Oklahoma Christian and Texas A&M-International.

Kobiske led all scorers with 26 points on 9-of-11 shooting while adding a perfect 8-for-8 effort at the free throw line. She also led all rebounders on the contest as she hauled in 11 rebounds en route to her second double-double of the season.

Lindley nearly matched her in both as she finished the game with 23 points on 10-of-18 shooting, while pulling in 10 rebounds to collect her first double-double of the year.

Ashton Hackler joins the leading scorers in double figures as she scored 13 points on the strength of an 8-for-8 performance at the charity stripe.

Grace Alverson just missed double-figures with nine points, all on a trio of threes, while
Aimee Alverson handed out a team-high six assists to trigger the offense.

The Savage Storm fell behind 18-8 in the first quarter against the Mustangs as Kertisa Amos dropped eight points for MSU, while Kobiske put up four points but saw SE shoot 21.4 percent, including going 0-for-65 from three-point range.

In the second quarter, The Storm would see its deficit grow to the largest of the game at 18 points with 3:18 to play in the half, and again with 1:35 remaining with the score 36-18.

From that point on, Lindley would connect on a three-point play as SE scored the final seven points of the first half to close the gap to 36-25 at the break.

Kobiske would score the first bucket out of the halftime break, and it would continue the Storm run as they picked up the first 15 points of the third quarter to erase a double-digit deficit and take a 40-36 lead by the 6:00 mark of the frame. Overall, SE would put together a 22-0 run that spanned the end of the second quarter and the first half of the third.

MSU would keep it a one possession game until the 3:58 mark as the Storm would close out the quarter on a 12-1 run to lead 55-41 heading into the fourth.

The Mustangs would twice close the SE lead to seven points early in the fourth, but the Storm would answer the second one with an 11-0 run to take its largest lead of the game at 70-52, eventually leaving with a 77-62 victory.
