Brennen Burns and
Robert Briley each had 20-point outings and Southeastern erased a 13-point second half deficit over the final seven minutes to pick up an 80-76 win over Lubbock Christian on Friday afternoon at the Walk Ons Thanksgiving Classic in Odessa, Texas.

Bruley would provide the heroics in the final seconds, connecting on a layup with four ticks on the clock to break a tie and take a 78-76 lead.

The teams would trade turnovers following that bucket, but LCU's coach would draw a technical foul and
Kody Clouet would hit a pair of insurance free throws to make the final score 80-76.

The win is the team's third-straight, lifting the Storm record to 4-3 overall on the season heading into a Saturday afternoon matchup with host Texas-Permian Basin at 4 p.m. back in Odessa, Texas.

Burns nearly set a new record for field goal shooting in a game, hitting on 9-of-10 shots overall from the field, including 2-of-2 from three-point range to drop team-high 23 points.

Briley would come off the bench and nearly match Burns' efficiency, shooting 7-of-9 from the field and adding 5-of-5 at the free throw line to put up 20 points.

Kody Clouet would join the dup in double-figures with 14 points, hitting a pair of threes and going 4-of-4 at the charity stripe.

Kyle Leslie would just miss double-digits with nine, while
Jett Sternberger added eight.

Leslie would hand out three assists to lead the team, while Burns, Clouet, and Sternberger each dished out two.

Sternberger would pull down a team-best seven rebounds as the Storm held a 28-to-23 advantage on the boards as team.

Burns and Briley each turned in nine points to lead Southeastern in the first half, but the Storm would fall behind early as the Chaps opened on a 7-2 run over the first two minutes.

SE answered with its own 7-2 run over the next four and a half minutes to knot the game at 9-9.

After a LCU three, SE would use a 12-3 run capped by a pair of Briley free throws at the 9:21 mark to take a 21-15 lead.

The Storm would push its lead to as many as nine points before settling on a 37-29 lead at the halftime break.

SE maintained the lead early in the second half, but the Chaps chipped away and would knot the game at 47-47 with 14:00 to play.

Over the next seven minutes, LCU outscored the Storm 22-9 to take its largest lead of the game at 69-56 with 7:05 to play.

Southeastern would respond with a 17-4 run to again tie the game up, this time at 73-73 with 2:50 to play.

LCU would briefly take the lead but a Clouet three would give the Storm its first lead since the 13:24 mark of the second half.

The Chaps would tie the game again on a layup with 45 second to play, setting up Briley's final seconds heroics.
