Savage Storm Travels to Take on HSU, OBU

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern heads into the final four games of the regular season jockeying for position in the conference standings while fighting to maintain a shot at a Central Regional berth, first taking on Henderson State at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 16 before taking on Ouachita Baptist at 3 p.m. on Feb. 18. Both games will be played in Arkadelphia, Ark.
 
The Savage Storm, who come into the weekend at 15-8 overall and 12-6 in league play, were one of the teams "under consideration" in the initial regional rankings release which released on Wednesday.
 
SE also finds itself fighting to improve its conference standing as well, currently holding the number three position with the opportunity to climb.
 
Southeastern has seen multiple players take the lead over recent weeks and feature four players averaging in double-figures on the season, led by Jet Sternberger's 17.4 ppg.
 
Brennen Burns is next in line with 14.8 ppg and is handing out a team-best 4.7 assist per outing.
 
Kody Clouet posted a 31-point outing over the weekend and is averaging 12.3 ppg overall for the year, while Kyle Leslie picked up conference player of the week honors two weeks ago and is putting up 11.5 ppg and leading the Storm with 6.5 rebounds per game.
 
HSU enters Thursday night's matchup with an 11-13 record overall and an 8-10 mark in GAC play.
 
The Reddies are paced by Frank Kamgain who is putting up 13.5 ppg while Tomislav Miholjic is pulling down 6.5 rebounds per contest.
 
OBU comes into the weekend with a 10-12 record overall and an 8-10 mark in league play.
 
The Tigers are led by LaQuan Butler and Ma'Darius Hobson who are posting matching 14.2 ppg averages, while Tylar Haynes is hauling in 6.9 rebounds per outing.
