BETHANY, Okla.  – Southeastern found itself opening the Raising Cane's College Festival on Friday afternoon by squaring off with No. 1 ranked Rogers State for the second-straight contest, falling 15-2 in five innings in Bethany, Okla.
 
The loss dips the Savage Storm to 3-6 on the season with two games slated on Saturday afternoon, first a 10 a.m. matchup versus Missouri Southern State followed by a 12:30 contest against Nebraska-Kearney.
 
Bailey Beard collected a pair of hits to lead SE, while 
Sammi Dutton and 
Cheyenne Mahy each added a hit.
 
Dutton and IIiana Olivares each drove in a run.
 
AMberlyn Walsworth got the start and took the loss after tossing 2.1 innings while allowing six runs on eight hits with two strikeouts.
 
Reese Taylor followed with one-third of an inning and allowed four runs on three hits.
 
Janelle Marwitz would close out he contest with 2.1 innings of work while allowing five runs on seven hits.
 
RSU jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first, but the Storm found an answer in the bottom half as Olivares plated 
Kamryn Rackley to close the gap to 3-1.
 
The HIllcats would post seven runs in the second, with two in the third and three in the fourth to mount a 15-1 lead through four innings.
 
SE would tack on a run in the bottom of the fifth as Dutton doubled home Beard, making the final 15-2.
