DURANT, Okla.  –
Cameron Cromer and
Dylan Herd each collected three hits in game one as Southeastern picked up a 4-1 win over No. 2 Southern Arkansas, before closing the series with a 10-5 loss on Saturday afternoon at Mike Metheny Field.

The split moves the Savage Storm to 6-5 overall on the year and 1-2 in Great American Conference play.

Cromer and Herd each posted a trio of hits, while
Joseph Ramirez added a pair of hits, while five others picked up a hit.

Herd and Cromer were joined by
Sam Creed and
Cameron French with an RBI each.
Â
Connor Priest got the start and took a no decision after tossing 4.2 innings and allowing a run on four hits with eight strikeouts.

Cameron Hauch picked up the win in relief and tossed 4.1 innings without allowing a hit while striking out six.
Â
A Cromer single and a French sac fly would put the Storm up 2-0 in the first inning.

The Muleriders would get a run back in the fifth, but Southeastern tacked on an RBI double by Herd in the sixth and an RBI single by Creed in the eighth to push the lead to 4-1 which would hold up as the final.

In the finale,
Seth Morrow would pick up three hits, doubling twice and homering, finishing with three RBI.

Rice added two hits and Ramirez picked up an RBI.

Dylan Turner got the start and took the loss after allowing five runs on six hits in two innings.

Hayden Alexander was tagged for four runs on two hits in two-thirds of an inning.

Michael Barta followed with 3.1 scoreless innings and allied a hit while striking out five before
Jackson Sioson came on to finish the game, allowing an unearned run on two hits.

SAU would get on the board first but the Storm would respond and tie the game with Rice scoring on a
Cache Stone double-play ball to tie the game at 1-1.

The Muleriders would pile up eight runs in the third inning to take a 9-1 lead, with the Storm getting a three-run Morrow homer in the fourth to close the gap to 9-4.

Each team would add a run in the seventh o make the final score 10-5.
