MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Southeastern closed out the final series of the regular season on a pair of losses after falling 4-1 in game one and 3-1 in game two on Sunday afternoon in Magnolia, Ark.

The losses drop the Savage Storm to 30-25 on the season and 23-10 in Great American Conference play and will head into the postseason tournament as the number four seed.

In game one,
Gracie Ore,
Alexis Massie,
India McMurray,
Kamryn Rackley, and
Sammi Dutton each logged a hit.
Â
Rackley would pick up an RBI as well.
Â
Amberlyn Walsworth got the start and suffered the loss after allowing four runs, three earned, on five hits with three strikeouts.

Reese Taylor would come on in relief and toss two innings, allowing no runs and one hit.
Â
SAU got on the board first with a two-run single in the bottom of the first inning.

Another RBI single in the third would stretch the lead to 3-0 before adding a fourth-inning sac fly to push the lead to 4-0.

Southeastern would get on the board in the top of the seventh inning as Rackley would drive in McMurray with an RBI single, but that was where the rally would end with the final 4-1.

In the finale, Dutton picked up a pair of hits while Mahy, Massie,
India McMurray,
Kamryn Rackley, and
Janelle Marwitz each added a hit.

Marwitz would drive in a run on the game.

Mahy would toss a complete game and take the loss after allowing three runs on seven hits with three strikeouts.

SAU put a run on the board in the third on an RBI single and added two more on a two-run homer in the sixth inning.

Southeastern answered with a run in the top of the seventh when Marwitz singled home Dutton to cut the deficit to 3-1, but that was where the game would end.
