EDMOND, Okla. – Southeastern softball saw its postseason run come to an end on Friday afternoon with a 6-1 loss to Harding in an elimination game at the NCAA Central Region tournament in Edmond, Okla.

The loss brings the 2023 season to an end with a 33-27 record but marks a postseason berth in head coach
Mackenzie Sher's first season and caps the ninth trip to the NCAA Tournament for softball since joining Division II and the first since 2014.

Gracie Ore,
Kady Fryrear,
Marilyn Alvarado,
Kamryn Rackley,
Bailey Beard, and
Sammi Dutton each collected a hit.

Beard would pick up the team's only RBI, with
Alexis Massie scoring the run.

Amberlyn Walsworth would get the start and suffered the loss after allowing three runs, two earned, on five hits in two-thirds of an inning.

Reese Taylor would throw the final 5.1 innings and allowed three runs, two earned, on six his with four strikeouts.

HU would collect five hits and take advantage of a Storm error to put up three runs in the first inning to jump to a 3-0 lead.

The Bisons would add a run in the second to stretch that lead to 4-0.

Beard would put SE on the board in the top of the fourth as she singled home Massie to cut the gap to 4-1.

Harding would add a run in the fifth and added another in the bottom of the sixth to push its lead to 6-1 which would hold up as the final margin.
