DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will hit the road back to Arkansas looking to turn back-to-back wins into a streak when it heads to Arkadelphia, Ark., to take on Henderson State at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 18 followed by a Jan. 20 matchup against Ouachita Baptist at 3 p.m.
The Savage Storm head into the road swing with a 10-6 record overall on the season and a 6-2 mark in Great American Conference play.
SE brings its high-scoring offense into the road trip after putting up 85 points or more in five of the last six games, bringing the team's scoring average to a league-best 87.4 ppg.
That offense is led by
Kody Clouet who is putting up 18.8 ppg on 52.7 percent shooting overall and a 49.4 percent effort from beyond the arc.
Brennen Burns picked up GAC Player of the Week honors following the team's last two wins and lifted his scoring average to 15.4 ppg while handing out a team-leading 5.5 assists per contest.
Jett Sternberger is next in line with 14.3 ppg while
Kyle Leslie is adding 11.1 per outing.
Clouet also leads the team on the boards with 5.3 rpg, while
Robert Briley is next in line with 4.0 per game.
Henderson State comes into Thursday with a 5-8 record overall and a 4-4 mark in league play following back-to-back losses.
Zyon Patterson leads the Reddie offense with 14.4 ppg, with Malek Davis dishing out 4.0 assists per game and Tomislav Miholjcic pulling down a team-best 8.0 rpg.
OBU enters the weekend with a 4-9 record overall and a 2-6 mark in GAC play.
The Tigers are led by Tylar Haynes who is averaging team-highs in points at 14.5 ppg and rebounds with 6.5 rebounds per contest.
