Brennen Burns put up 18 points and
Jett Sternberger hit a pair of free throws with 14 seconds to play to help Southeastern to a 77-74 come-from-behind victory over Ouachita Baptist on Saturday afternoon in Arkadelphia, Ark.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 11-7 overall and 7-3 in Great American Conference play.

Burns put up 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting while playing just 24 minutes due to foul trouble, the final 11 minutes of that coming in the second half as he played with four fouls.

Kyle Leslie was next in line with 14 points with four threes, going 4-of-6 from beyond the arc.

Sternberger followed with 13 points, adding a three and going 4-of-4 at the free throw line, while
Kody Clouet rounded out the double-digit scoring with 10.

Robert Briley would chip in nine off the bench on 3-of-4 shooting while
Landon Condiff added seven.

Burns would also dish out a game-high five assists and snagged a pair of steals.
Â
Leslie paced the Storm on the glass with seven rebounds, while Briley was next up with five.

SE would connect on just one bucket over the first five-and-a-half minutes and found itself down 13-2 early, with that deficit peaking at 16-4 with 13:49 to go in the first half.

Seven-straight points for the Storm would close the gap to just five points by the 12:09 mark and by the 9:04 mark SE had closed the gap to 18-17 on a pair of Leslie free throws.

OBU would push its lead back out to six points twice, but SE would chip away before the half, with a
Jalen Williams three just before the halftime horn leaving the Storm trailing by a 38-36 score at the half.

Chandler Dickinson would tie the game at 38-38 early in the second half, but the Tigers would regain the lead until a Condiff three at the 14:42 mark give Southeastern its first advantage of the contest at 43-42.

That lead was short lived though as OBU would regain the advantage and eventually push it out to nine points by the 10:49 mark of the half.

SE would yo-yo- the score over the next three minutes before making one more push that finally knotted the game at 66-66 on a Burns jumper with 4:27 remaining.

The teams would then trade buckets and the Tigers would hold a 72-70 lead with 1:19 to play.

Burns would then earn a trip to the free throw line, tying the game at 72-72 and after forcing a turnover, Burns would drive the lane and kick to a wide pen Leslie in the corner for a three with 26 seconds to play, giving SE a 75-72 lead.

OBU would convert a jumper on the other end, but Sternberger would step to the line with 14 seconds to play and knock down a pair of free throws to put Southeastern up77-74 and a Tiger miss on a final shot would make that the final score.
