Kenzli Warden led Southeastern in scoring for the third-straight game and helped the Savage Storm snap a losing streak with a 60-55 road win over Ouachita Baptist on Saturday afternoon in Arkadelphia, Ark.

The win snaps a nine-game losing skid to open Great American Conference play and lifts the team's record to 5-11 overall on the year and 1-9 in league play.

Warden finished the contest with 16 points to match the game high by all scorers, hitting 6-of-15 from the floor and nearly racking up a double-double as she finished with nine rebounds to lead SE on the glass.

Grace Alverson added 11 points off the bench, while
Caitlin Kobiske finished with 10 points.

Ashton Hackler would just miss double-figures with eight points, while
Holli Lindley and Bri Wietelman each finished with five.

Lindley was second in line on the boards with eight rebounds, with Kobiske hauling in seven.

Kobiske also led the way for the Storm with four assists.

SE would open up a 6-2 lead and would maintain the advantage until a the 3:09 mark of the first quarter when the Tigers would take a 10-9 lead on a three.

A Lindley layup would provide and answer and regain the lead and a
Grace Alverson three with 1:03 remaining in the period would give the Storm a 14-10 lead which would hold as the margin at the first quarter break.

A 5-1 run over the first minute of the second quarter saw SE strength its lead to 19-11 early in the frame, but OBU would cut the gap to three points by the 7:47 mark of the quarter.

The Storm would keep the Tigers at arm's length and three times push its lead out to seven points, the last time at 2:21 to play in the half at 29-22.

Ouachita Baptist would chip away at the edge, closing the gap to three points in the final minute before a Hackler jumper would set the SE halftime lead at 33-28.

The Storm lead would reach seven three times in the third quarter, the last on an Alverson three with 2:18 to play in the frame before a Tiger three and a jumper would close the Southeastern advantage to 47-45 to end the third.

 The SE lead remained at two points with under seven minutes to play when Kobiske and Hackler would convert on back-to-back possessions to stretch the edge to 53-47 with 5:25 to play.

The Storm would maintain a two possession lead until an OBU three with 42 seconds to play cut the Southeastern lead to 57-54.

Warden would answer on the following possession with a layup with 24 seconds to play to push the lead back to two possessions and after trading free throws Southeastern would hang on to the 60-55 victory.
