RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – All five starters reached double-figures, but second-half turnovers that would cost Southeastern in a 73-69 road loss to Arkansas Tech on Saturday afternoon in Russellville, Ark.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 8-6 overall on the year and 4-2 in Great American Conference play.

Chandler Dickinson would lead SE with 16 points on 6-off-9 shooting with four threes while also nearly pulling down a double-double with a game-high nine rebounds.

Jett Sternberger was next in line with 13 points with a pair of threes, while
Kyle Leslie finished with 12 points on four threes.

Brennen Burns would round out the starting five in double-figures with 10 points while handing out a game-best seven assists.

SE would drain 11 threes in the game, but saw the Wonder Boys put up 23 points off the 19 Storm turnovers, 11 of those in the second half.

ATU would score first but a Dickinson three and a Burns bucket would give SE the lead and start a span of the teams traded a pair of buckets each over the next four minutes, leaving the Wonder Boys up 11-10.

The teams would trade punches over the next two minutes before a 7-3 run by SE would give the Storm a 27-25 lead with 6:44 to play in the half.

ATU would follow with a 9-2 run before a pair of Clouet free throws in the final minute left SE training 34-31 at the half.

The Storm would tie the game on a Sternberger three to open the second half and a minute later, after a Tech free throw, a Burns bucket would give the Storm a 36-35 lead.

ATU followed with a 10-3 run to mount a 45-39 lead, but a pair of
Robert Briley free throws would kick off an 11-4 run for the Storm which put SE in front 50-49 following a Clouet layup.

SE still held a one-point edge with 11:07 to go when the wonder Boys would reel off a 12-3 run to take an eight-point lead with 6:20 to play.

Southeastern would bounce back, using a 14-5 run to erase the deficit and hold a 66-65 lead with 4:14 to play, capped by a Clouet three.

Both teams would go scoreless for the next 1:13 before ATU would close out the game on an 8-3 run to set the final score at 73-69.
