Kobiske Picks up GAC Weekly Award

DURANT, Okla. – After posting back-to-back 20-point outings and averaging a double-double Southeastern's Caitlin Kobiske has been named the Great American Conference Player of the Week.
 
Kobiske, a senior from Keller, Texas, helped the Savage Storm to a 1-1 record on the week, with a road win over in-state foe Cameron before dropping a road contest to Arkansas-Ft Smith.
 
She would finish the week averaging 21.0 points per game while shooting 42.9 percent from the floor while averaging a double-double with 10.0 rebounds per outing.
 
Kobiske turned in 22 points versus CU in the 62-53 win in Lawton, Okla., while hitting 7-of-15 from the floor and pulling down 11 rebounds.
 
Over the weekend she would put up 20 points and nine rebounds as the Storm would see a fourth-quarter comeback come up short versus UAFS.
 
Kobiske and Southeastern will be back in action Dec. 5 at 5:30 p.m. in Bloomer Sullivan Arena to host Henderson State in the GAC opener.
