DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern (2-3) falls in the final seconds of the game to Texas-Permian Basin 85-84 in the Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

SE (2-3) finished the game shooting 50.8 percent (33-65) from the field and were 10-of-23 from the three-point line. The blue and gold were efficient at the free-throw line, going 8-of-8, but UTPB would reach the charity stripe 34 times and make 27 shots. Both sides finished even at the glass with 37 rebounds.

Daniel Halldorsson paced the Savage Storm with 27 points on 12-of-20 shooting and tallied nine assists and six rebounds.
Robert Briley recorded 17 points and a team-high seven rebounds, while
Elijah Hughey and
Landon Condiff each had 11 points.

Southeastern and Texas-Permian Basin traded leads in the first three minutes, with the Storm ahead 7-6. Layups by Briley and Halldorsson extend the gap to 11-8, and Condiff connected from beyond the arc moments later to make it 20-14. The Falcons stayed close on a 6-2 burst, but the blue and gold began to heat up from deep in the final ten minutes of the opening half.

Hughey and Condiff knocked down back-to-back triples to give SE a ten-point edge, 39-29. UTPB quickly replied with two trips to the charity stripe to cut the gap to under double-figures, but two consecutive three-pointers by Halldorsson stretched the Storm's lead back to ten. Halldorsson knocked down his third triple of the game as the buzzer rang for halftime to push Southeastern ahead 50-39 lead at the break.

A slow start by Southeastern saw the Falcons trim the Storm's lead to four on a 9-0 run in the first three minutes of the second half. SE picked up the pace again, starting with a layup by
Jayden Bridgeman, and Hughey would connect from deep to extend the lead back to ten, 61-51. The Falcons continued to chip away at the Storm's score with a 6-0 burst and would tie the game with two consecutive baskets at 74-all.

The Storm went back ahead with two three-point plays from Briley and
DJ Dill to take an 82-78 advantage with 2:33 left in the game. UTPB tied the game again at 82-82 with 1:44 remaining, but Briley would make a layup to put SE back in front 84-82. The Falcons rallied in the final minute, draining three free throws to win the game 85-84.
