DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern looks to open 2025 in winning fashion when it hosts Southwestern Oklahoma State at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4, in its first action following the holiday break in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
 
The Savage Storm enter the contest with a 6-5 record overall on the season and a 3-2 mark in Great American Conference play which is tied for fourth in the standings one quarter of the way through the league schedule.
 
SE is coming off a loss to Southern Nazarene that saw 
Caitlin Kobiske and 
Kenzli Warden combine for 30 of the team's 56 points in a 10-ppoint loss at home to end the fall semester back on Dec. 19.
 
Kobiske enters the new year leading the GAC in scoring with 18.7 ppg while shooting 46.4 percent overall from the floor and ranks among the league's best free throw shooters, hitting 84.1 percent from the charity stripe.
 
Holli Lindley is the team's number two scorer at 11.5 ppg while shooting 49.4 percent from the field, while Warden is right on her heels with 11.4 points per outing.
 
Kobiske leads the team on the glass with 6.4 rebounds per game, while 
Stevie Stinchcomb is next in line with 5.2 per game.
 
Stinchcomb and Lindley are each handing out a team-high 2.5 assists per game.
 
SWOSU comes into the matchup with a similar 6-5 overall record but is 2-3 in GAC play, winning its last two conference matchups after opening the league season with three-straight losses.
 
The Bulldogs are led by Avery Zinn who is putting up 11.5 ppg, while Hailey Grant is right on her heels at 11.0 per outing.
 
The two swap places on the boards, with Grant leading the team with 4.5 rebounds per outing, while Zinn is next up with 4.0 per game.
