MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Southeastern put four players in double figures, but it was not enough to lift the Savage Storm as Southeastern Arkansas would pull away in the second half in a 76-61 final on Saturday afternoon in Magnolia, Ark.

The loss drops SE to 7-15 overall on the season and 3-13 in Great American Conference play while SAU improves to 11-11 overall and 6-10 in GAC play.

Caitline Kobiske finished as the team's leading scorer with 14 points on 50.0 percent shooting from the floor.

Ashton Hackler was next in line with 12 points, hitting 4-of-6 from the floor.

Kenzli Warden turned in a double-double in the contest with 11 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, while
Grace Alverson came off the bench to knock down three threes and finish with 11 as well.

Warden's 12 rebounds led the way on the glass while Kobiske grabbed six.

Aimee Alverson would hand out a team-best four assists.

Warden would score six of Southeastern's eight first quarter points and the Storm trailed 15-8 after one period.

Warden would go on to score 10 of the team's first 12 points in the game, including a pair of free throws that would trigger a 12-2 run which was capped by a Hackler bucket that gave SE a 22-1 lead with 5:21 to play in the second quarter.

The teams would trade the advantage until the final two minutes when the Storm put together an 8-0 run to lead by five points before settling at a 34-32 lead at the half.

The Storm maintained its lead early in the third, pushing to back to five points on a Hackler three-point play, however SAU would respond with a 21-4 run to take a 53-41 lead before Southeastern closed that gap to 53-45 heading to the fourth.

The momentum stayed in the Muleriders' favor in the fourth, seeing the home team push its lead to as many as 23 points before the Storm was able to trim the final deficit back to a 76-61 final score.
