SE Faces OBU, NWOSU to End Regular Season

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern women's basketball heads into the final week of the regular season fighting for their postseason lives needing a pair of wins, first when it faces Oklahoma Baptist at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 29 in Shawnee, Okla., and another in the regular-season finale versus Northwestern Oklahoma State on March 2 at 1 p.m. in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
 
The Savage Storm come into the weekend with a 10-16 record overall and a 6-14 mark in Great American Conference play, two games out of a tie for seventh place in the league standings with the top eight teams heading to the conference tournament.
 
SE has won three of its last four outings and is led on offense by Caitlin Kobiske who is putting up 14.6 points per game while shooting 43.9 percent from the floor and pulling down 6.1 rebounds per game. She is also nearing a career milestone and comes into the final two games of the season just 14 points shy of 1,000 career points.
 
Holli Lindley is next in line with 8.9 ppg, while Kenzli Warden follows with 8.0 per outing.
 
Ashton Hackler and Grace Alverson are each chipping in 7.8 ppg.
 
Lindley leads the team on the boards with 7.3 rebounds per game, with Kobiske's 6.1 next in line followed by 5.2 per outing from Warden.
 
The Bisons come into Thursday night's matchup with an 11-15 record overall on the year and an 8-12 mark in league play.
 
The OBU offense is paced by Jaedyn Getman who is averaging 17.6 ppg while also pacing the club on the glass with 6.4 rebounds per game.
 
The Rangers enter the weekend with a 23-5 record overall and a 15-5 mark in GAC play.
 
Faith Simpson leads NWOSU on offense with 21.8 ppg as well as on the boards with 8.3 rebounds per contest.
