DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern stranded nine runners, six of them in scoring position, while Southwestern Oklahoma State was able score in the top of the first and pull away as the Savage Storm fell 7-0 in the series opener on Friday afternoon at the Southeastern Softball Field.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 7-9 overall and 1-3 in Great American Conference play with a series-ending doubleheader set for noon on Saturday.

Channing Sarver each collected a hit, while Fryrear and
Abby Beck each drew a walk.

Amberlyn Walsworth got the start and suffered her first loss of the season, tossing 3.2 innings and allowing five runs on six hits with five strikeouts.

Reese Taylor would come on in relief, tossing 3.1 innings and allowing two runs, one earned, on three hits with three strikeouts.

SWOSU would take a 2-0 lead in the first inning and tacked on a three-run home in the fourth to mount a 5-0 lead.

SE would load the bases with two outs in the second inning but would leave them stranded.

The Bulldogs would add two more runs in the sixth to make the final to make the final tally 7-0.
