DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern stepped out of conference for a Texoma Showdown and picked up its second-straight win, downing Austin College 10-1 on Tuesday afternoon at Mike Metheny Field.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 8-14 overall on the season heading into a three-game road series versus Henderson State March 15-16 in Arkadelphia, Ark.

Cache Stone and
Cameron Cromer each collected three hits to lead the SE offense, with Cromer turning in a game-high five RBI while Stone drove in a pair of runs.
Â
Matt Miles added two hits, while
Austin Thorp,
Dylan Herd,
Wesley Mitchell, and
Antonio Crews each added a hit.

Damon Burroughs, Mitchell, and
Cory Bonstrom would each drive in a run.
Â
Brett Tanksley got the start and collected the win after tossing 5.0 innings and allowing a run on four hits with one strikeout.
Â
Colby Kroutil followed with a hitless inning and a strikeout.

Michael Minaya tossed 1.1 innings and struck out three of the five batters he faced without allowing a hit, followed by 1.1 innings from
Jaden Lewis who struck out two of the four batters he faced.

Payton Heinley would then come on and strike out the final batter of the game.

SE opened scoring in a big way in the bottom of the first inning with Stone connecting on a two-run double followed four batters later by a Cromer two-run single to push the lead to 4-0.

Three batters after that, Burroughs would draw a bases loaded walk to push the lead to 5-0.

AC would get on the board with a sac fly in the top of the second inning, but SE would respond with an RBI double from Mitchell followed by another Cromer RBI single to extend the lead to 7-1 after two innings.

A Bonstrom sac fly in the fourth would push the lead to 8-1, and a two-run single by Cromer in the seventh would push the advantage to 10-1 which would hold up as the final tally.
