DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern found runs hard to come by in a pair of losses to Southern Nazarene on Saturday afternoon, dropping game one 4-2 before falling in the series finale 10-1.

The losses drops the Savage Storm to 21-19 overall and 13-10 in Great American Conference play with the series finale versus East Central up next on Tuesday, April 9, at 2 p.m.

In the opener,
Kady Fryrear and
Emily Simmons would each collect a hit, with Simmons' two-run homer providing a pair of RBI.

Amberlyn Walsworth got the start and took the loss after tossing three innings and allowing three runs on three hits with one strikeout.

Simmons would come on in relief and toss four innings and allow a run on three hits with two K's.
Â
SNU would get on the board in the first contest with a two-run homer in the top of the fourth and tacked on a third run on a sac fly to lead 3-0 midway through four.

The Crimson Storm would add a run on a solo homer in the top of the sixth.

Southeastern finally break up the no hitter in the seventh with a Fryrear single, and a batter later
Emily Simmons would send a ball over the left field wall to close the deficit to 4-2, but that is where the rally would end.

In the finale,
Ananda Garrison, Fryrear,
Emily Simmons,
Sabetha Sands, and
Sammi Dutton each collected hits, with Fryrear picking up an RBI.

Alyson Malone got the start and tossed 1.1 innings in taking the loss, allowing five runs on six hits before handing off to
Reese Taylor who allowed five runs, four earned, on nine hits in 4.2 innings of work.

SNU would put up a pair of runs in the top of the first, and Fryrear would answer for SE with an RBI double to close to 2-1.

The Crimson Storm would put up five runs in the second and another in the third to take an 8-1 lead through three innings.

SNU would add two runs in the top of the sixth to push its advantage to 10-1, which would hold up as the final score.
