Women's Hoops Set to Face OBU, HSU in Road Swing

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will be looking to get back in the win column when it makes sets out for southwest Arkansas for the final two games of a four-game road swing where it will first take on Ouachita Baptist at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 30 in Arkadelphia, Ark., before closing out the trip with a Feb. 1 matchup versus Henderson State at 1 p.m., also in Arkadelphia.
 
The Savage Storm enter the road trip with a 12-6 record overall on the season and a 9-3 in Great American Conference play following a loss to Southern Nazarene in its last game out.
 
SE is led by Caitlin Kobiske who ranks near the top of the conference in scoring with 17.3 ppg while shooting 46.2 percent overall with an 85.0 percent effort at the free throw line.
 
Kenzli Warden is next in line with 12.1 ppg on the year, while Holli Lindley is right behind her with 11.9 per outing on the season that included a season-high 29 points in an overtime win versus rival East Central in the last Storm win.
 
Kobiske also paces the club in rebounds with 5.6 per game while Lindley is pulling down 5.2 per outing.
 
Lindley and Stevie Stinchcomb lead the way in assists with 2.7 per game, while Abbie Barr is handing out 2.6 per outing.  
 
Southeastern picked up a 72-66 win over OBU when the team's met in Bloomer Sullivan Arena, with Kobiske and Lindley putting up 15 points apiece while Stinchcomb added a 14-point performance.
 
The Tigers enter Thursday's contest with an 8-8 record on the year and a 4-8 mark in league play and are led offensively by Madeleine Tipton who is averaging 13.8 ppg, while Brooke Smith paces the squad on the board with 5.6 rebounds per outing.
 
The Storm also picked up a win over its second foe of the weekend when they faced off with HSU in Durant and picked up a 59-46 win that saw Barr score a game-high 13 points.
 
The Reddies enter the weekend with a 7-11 record overall on the year and a 5-7 mark in GAC play.
 
They are led by Brynlee Huggins who is averaging 15.9 ppg while Makenna Winans is pulling down a team-best 7.6 rebounds per game.
