Southeastern Stays in 11th After 36 Holes of Play

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Southeastern concludes the final day of play at the Central Regional Preview in 11th with a score of 75-over 651. The Savage Storm completed the final round 37-over 325, improving on their first-round score by one stroke.
 
Southwestern Oklahoma State was able to find separation from Harding to win the event with a score of 40-over 616, matching its first round score of 20-over Par. The Lady Bisons shot 51-over 627 across the two rounds to secure second place, while Central Oklahoma jumped a spot into the top three with a score of 52-over 628. Arkansas-Fort Smith dropped back into fourth, and Rogers State (+59) would climb five spots to finish fifth.
 
Three members of the blue and gold lineup soared up the player leaderboard on the last day, led by Carley Button, who rose five spots to secure a top-five placement. Button fired in her best round of the tournament during the day, shooting 3-over 75 for a final score of 9-over 153 to tie for fifth individually.

Addison Oestreicher saw the biggest jump on the player leaderboard for SE, moving up 25 spots following a 6-over 78 second round. The freshman efforts earned her a tied for 23rd finish with a 36-hole score of 16-over 160. Karen Kim followed Oestreicher, as she turned in a 14-over 86 in the second round for a combined score of 20-over 164.
 
Kaeli Drake rounded out the leaderboard surge for Southeastern, as she climbed four spots to finish tied for 90th. Drake shot 32-over 176 over the tournament after carding a 14-over 86 in the second round. Meredith Reid finished the event with a 21-over 93 to compile a 37-over 181 in 36 holes of play.
 
Southeastern heads into the winter break after competing in the final event of the fall portion of its season. SE saw two top ten finishes this semester, highlighted by a record-breaking fourth-place finish at the Battle for the Belt, and will look to carry this momentum into the spring before taking part in the GAC Tournament.
