Box Score WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Southeastern turned in a pre-Turkey Day feast on Tuesday as five players scored in double-figures and SE shot 76.5 percent from beyond the arc as a team on its way to a 97-59 win over Midwestern State in Wichita Falls, Texas.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 3-2 on the season with its final non-conference matchup slated for Saturday, Nov. 29 at 3:30 p.m.in Tahlequah, Okla.

Kenzli Warden led SE with 16 points, hitting 6-of-9 from the field and draining both her threes.
Â
Mackenzie Espinosa came off the bench with 14 points, hitting 5-of-9 overall and 3-of-4 from three-point range.

Abbie Barr followed with 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting with a pair of threes, while
Tori Kilburn added 11 points and
Katie Allen came off the bench with 10.

Halli Hyatt and
Brenna Howard each logged six rebounds, while
Breanna Lindert grabbed five.

Hyatt led the way for the Storm with five assists, while Warden and Espinosa each handed out four.

Southeastern finished the game shooting 59.3 percent overall from the floor, including a 76.5 percent clip from beyond the arc, hitting 13-of-17 threes.

The teams traded buckets out of the gate, with MSU taking a early 12-10 lead by the 6:19 mark of the opening quarter.

The Storm answered with back-to-back Espinosa threes to trigger a 25-4 run capped by a pair of Warden free throws with 1:17 to play, taking a 35-16 lead that would end up 37-18 at the first quarter break.

The pace slowed in the second quarter as SE outscored the Mustangs 10-5 over the first eight minutes of the frame before MSU finished with eight of the final 13 points, trimming the Storm lead to 52-31 at halftime.

Warden opened the second half with a bucket and kicked off a 16-5 run capped by an
Abbie Barr jumper to take 32-point lead at the 6:13 mark of the third quarter.

SE continued to pull away in the quarter, with a Barr jumper extending the advantage to 80-42 with 16 seconds to play in the third, before MSU closed the gap to 80-44 to end the period.

The pace slowed a bit in the fourth quarter as SE held a 17-15 edge over the final frame to fashion the final score of 97-59.
