Women's Hoops Opens GAC Play With HSU, OBU Road Swing

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will take to the road to open Great American Conference play when it makes its annual trip to Arkadelphia, Ark., first to take on Henderson State at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 4 before closing the trip with a 1 p.m. matchup against Ouachita Baptist on Dec. 6.
 
Both contests will be available via the Southeastern Sports network locally on Mix 96.1 FM or via the internet at GoSoutheastern.com with "Voice of the Savage Storm" Jay Lindly on the call.
 
The Savage Storm come into the weekend road trip with a 3-3 record on the season, bouncing back from a rough opening weekend trip to Minnesota to win three-straight in dominant fashion before dropping a narrow matchup in its last game out on the road versus Northeastern State.
 
Tori Kilburn has led Southeastern on the season, averaging 18.7 ppg over her first six collegiate starts while shooting 60.3 percent from the field and 81.0 percent from the free throw line.
 
She also paces the squad on the board with 5.7 rebounds per game while handing out a team-high 20 assists, blocking eight shots and snagging eight steals.
 
Kenzli Warden comes in averaging 14.5 ppg on the season and shooting 43.8 percent from beyond the arc while also adding 5.0 rebounds per outing.
 
Mackenzie Espinosa is next in line with 8.5 ppg off the bench with 5.2 rebounds per game.
 
Abbie Barr checks in with 7.3 ppg in the starting lineup, while Katie Allen is adding 6.8 ppg in relief.
 
HSU enters Thursday's contest at 4-0 on the season, with three of those coming at home.
 
The Reddies feature four players in double-figures with Natalie Cardenas leading the way with 33.8 ppg, while Grayson Fairless is adding 12.8 ppg and pulling down 14.8 rebounds per contest.
 
OBU enters the weekend with a 3-1 record on the year and has won three-straight.
 
Madeleine Tipton leads the Tigers with 19.8 points per game, while Audri Winfrey is pulling down a team-best 5.3 rebounds per game.
