SHERMAN, Texas –
Carter Olson tied the NCAA record for home runs in an inning as Southeastern put up nine runs in the third inning of game two to power its way to a doubleheader split at Austin College on Tuesday, taking game two 11-4 after falling in game one by a 6-4 score in Sherman, Texas.

The Split moves the Savage Storm to 9-13 overall head back into Great American Conference play for a three-game series at Arkansas Tech March 14-15 in Russellville, Ark.

Olson finished with two hits, both homers in the third inning, matching the NCAA record. One of those homers was a grand slam and he finished the game with six RBI across his two home runs.

Colton Sagely added two hits, while
Jake Miller,
Coby Grimsley,
Antonio Crews, and
Isaac Shaw added a hit each.

Shaw drove in a pair of runs, while Grimsley and Crews each added an RBI.
Â
Trisan Mills got the start and recorded the win after three innings of work, allowing one unearned run on two hits.

Ryan Farquharson followed, allowing one unearned run on one hit in two innings.

Tanner Carter tossed an inning and was tagged for two runs on two hits before
Corbin Lingo finished the game with an inning of action without allowing a hit.

Crews and Shaw each drew bases-loaded walks in the top of the first to put SE in front 2-0, but AC answered with a run in the bottom half to u the Storm lead to 2-1.

The Storm took off in the third inning as Grimsley led off with a single and Olson followed with a two-run homer.

Two batters later Crews singled and came home a batter later on a Shaw RBI double.

SE loaded the bases with two outs and Grisley drew an RBI walk on his second plate-appearance of the inning.

Olson ended the scoring one at-bat later as he connected on a grand slam for his second longball of the innings, stretching the SE lead to 11-1.

The Roos picked up a run in the fifth and two more in the sixth to make the final tally 11-4.

In game one, Grimsley,
Brady Evans, Sagely, Miller,

Gage Dollins,
Chase Keeton and
Austin Thorp each logged one hit.

Keeton drove in a pair of runs, one on a home run, while Miller doubled, and Grimsley drove in a run.

Michael White got the start but lasted just one-third of an inning, allowing two runs on a hit with four walks.

Ryan Rauss finished the opening inning, but allowed two more runs on a hit in the second before
Parker Pecina took over, tossing three hitless innings.

Jordan Brown followed with 1.1 innings of work but allowed two runs on a hit, taking the loss.

Gabe Massey finished the game, tossing two-thirds of an inning and allowing two hits.

AC took advantage of seven walks surrendered over the first two innings to jump out to a 4-0 lead.

Southeastern got on the board in the fourth when Evans scored on an error following a Poole single.

Keeton followed with a solo homer in the fifth and Grimsley added an RBI single in that inning to close the gap to 4-3.

A Keeton sac fly in the sixth inning knotted the score at 4-4, but the Roos collected a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth taking the lead and making the final score 6-4.
