EDMOND, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State placed ninth at the Diffee Ford Lincoln Invitational with a 36-hole score of 63-over 623 after shooting 33-over 313 in the second round.
Southwestern Oklahoma State finished first at the tournament with a final score of 44-over 604, while Southern Arkansas and Northwestern Oklahoma State tied for second at +50. Harding ended the two days just two strokes back of SAU and NWOSU in fourth, and Central Oklahoma would round out the top five in fifth with a score of 54-over 614.
Carley Button led the Southeastern lineup on the final day, carding a 4-over 74 after going 3-over on the front nine and 1-over on the back half. Button finished the tournament with a combined 36-hole score of 7-over 146 to earn a top-five individual finish in third place. Also joining Button in the top five is
Karen Kim (5th), who turned in a 9-over 148 across the 36 holes. In the second round, Kim shot 5-over 75 with a 2-over front nine and 3-over back nine.
Hailey Richard and
Lucy Handley concluded the two-day event tied for 62
nd individually with a score of 24-over 164. Richard recorded her best round of the invitational on day, shooting 10-over 80, while Handley turned in a 14-over 84 on the last day.
Hope Walthall (T80) wrapped up the two-day event 33-over 173 after completing the second round with her best score of the event at 14-over 84.
Southeastern returns to action with the Arkansas Collegiate on Mar. 10 and 11 at the Mystic Creek Golf Club in El Dorado, Ark.
