SE Set for GAC Tourney Opener Friday vs. SWOSU

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern women's basketball enters the postseason as the No. 4 seed in the Great American Conference Tournament and opens play at Noon on Friday, March 7 when it takes on fifth-seeded Southwestern Oklahoma State in the quarterfinals held at Southside Arena in Fort Smith, Ark.
 
The Savage Storm closed the season with an 18-10 record on the year and a 15-7 record in league play.
 
Southeastern is led by Caitlin Kobiske who ranks among the league's best with 17.8 ppg, while pulling down 5.7 rebounds per outing. She is hitting 47.0 percent from the field overall and 44.7 percent from beyond the arc with an 84.2 percent effort from the free throw line.
 
Kenzlie Warden is next in line with 13.4 points per outing while adding 5.3 rebounds per game.
 
Holli Lindley is just shy of double-figures with 9.9 ppg, while Ashton Hackler is adding 7.1 and Abbie Barr is chipping in 6.6 per game.
 
Stevie Stinchcomb leads the team in assists with 2.8 per game, while Barr is handing out 2.5 and Lindley is adding 2.1 per contest.
 
Southeastern is 2-0 on the season versus the Bulldogs, picking up a 62-48 win at home on Jan. 4 and following up with a 53-44 win in Weatherford, Okla., on Feb. 15.
 
Warden was the team's leading scorer in the road win, finishing with 17 points, while Kobiske put up a game-high 21 points in the home victory in January.
 
SWOSU enters the postseason with a 16-12 record overall on the year and a 12-10 mark in league play.
 
The Bulldogs are led by Averi Zinn with 11.3 ppg while handing out 3.3 assists per game.
 
Lanie Gooch paces the club on the boards with 4.3 rebounds per outing.
