Savage Storm Return Home to Host SAU, UAM

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern is set to return home for the first time in 2026 when it hosts back-to-back contests in Bloomer Sullivan Arena, first squaring off with Southern Arkansas at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 8 before taking on Arkansas-Monticello at 1 p.m. on Jan. 10.
 
Southeastern is aiming to snap a seven-game losing skid, its longest since the 2023-24 season, which has the team sitting at 3-9 overall on the season and 0-6 in Great American Conference play.
 
The Savage Storm is not without its highlights as freshman Tori Kilburn is turning in a team-leading 17.4 ppg while shooting 54.6 percent from the field while adding 6.0 rebounds per game and dishing out 2.3 assists per outing.
 
Kenzli Warden is next in line with 14.1 ppg on the year and is shooting 43.4 percent overall while posting a team-best 6.2 rebounds pr contest.
 
Abbie Barr checks in with 7.4 ppg, while Akiera Hawk and Mackenzie Espinosa are at 6.4 and 6.1 ppg, respectively.
 
Southern Arkansas comes to town with an 8-4 record overall on the year and a 4-2 mark in league play, coming off a one-point loss to Harding last time out.
 
The Muleriders are led by Blythe Crawley who is averaging 14.5 ppg, while Elana Lijo-Rodriguez is pulling down 7.4 rebounds per game.
 
Arkansas-Monticello heads into the weekend with a 5-7 record on the year and an 0-6 mark in GAC play, riding a six-game losing streak.
 
The Cotton Blossoms are led by Alindsey Long who is putting up 13.0 ppg while Alyssa Batton is right behind with 12.9 per contest. Harper Briley leads the team on the boards with 5.9 rebounds per game.
