DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern gets back to winning ways on Thursday night with a 96-87 win over Southern Arkansas in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

The Savage Storm shot 47.4 percent from the field and finished 10-25 from beyond the arc, with five triples coming from
Chandler Dickinson. Dickinson led the scoring for SE with a career-high 29 points, while
Ethan Wilkerson tallied 26 points on 10-13 shooting. In addition, Dickinson paced the Storm with seven of the team's 31 rebounds.

Jamal Drewery pulled the strings for the Southeastern offense, passing around nine assists and adding 11 points.
Deondre Dunn rounded out the scoring for the blue and gold, chipping in 11.

The two sides traded leads in the first three and a half minutes of the opening half before Dickinson caught fire from beyond the arc, knocking down back-to-back triples to give SE a 11-7 lead. The Storm remained dialed in from deep, with Dunn and Wilkerson connecting on three-pointers to extend the lead to 19-11. Southeastern leaned on Wilkerson over the next minute, as the sophomore found the basket two more times to grow the gap to double-figures, 24-14.

From there, Southeastern picked up the pace with a 9-0 run over the next three and a half minutes to stretch its lead to 33-19. However, the Muleriders strung together a run of scores to cut into the gap, 35-28, and rattled off a 6-0 burst to make it a two-point game, 39-37. Dickinson closed out the half for the Storm, scoring the team's final five points to carry a 44-41 lead into the break.

A fast start from the Muleriders quickly flipped the lead to their favor on a 9-0 run to take a 50-44 edge. After a slow start to the second half, Dickinson soon began to catch fire from beyond the arc, making two in quick succession to close the gap to three, and eventually tie the game 61-all. Wilkerson kept the score knotted at 63-63 before a layup by Dickinson sparked an 8-0 run capped off by a Drewery three-pointer to grab a 71-65 advantage.

Southeastern's lead would soon shrink to one, 71-70, and later 75-74, but the Storm put their foot on the gas again, building a 12-2 run to push out in front 87-76. SE continued to add to its lead at the free-throw and would have to weather late pressure from Southern Arkansas to secure a 96-87 win. Â
