EDMOND, Okla. – Through the first 18 holes of play, Southeastern is fifth at the Grace Shin Invitational with a score of 13-over 297.

Three GAC teams make up the top five after round one, as Arkansas-Monticello paces the field with a 7-over 291. Henderson State slots in three places back in fourth at +12 to sit just ahead of the Savage Storm, who are fifth.

Karen Kim led the SE lineup on day one, firing a 1-under 70, and is tied for fourth. Kim turned in an even-par 34 on the back nine and later got the front half started with an eagle on the Par 4 Hole 1 and went on to shoot 1-under 36 on the front nine.

Emma Thompson scattered five birdies over the first round on her way to an even-par 71. Thompson shot even par on both the back and front nine, with three of her birdies coming on the final half.
Kaeli Drake followed with a 7-over 78 outing, with her best play coming on the front nine, where she shot 3-over 40.

Natalie Breaux matched Drake's score on the day, as she carded a 7-over 78. Breaux recorded two birdies in the first round and posted her best play on the back nine of the course, shooting 3-over 37. Rounding out the day,
Carley Button shot 9-over 80, highlighted by an even-par 34 on the back nine, where she tallied all three of her birdies for day one.
