DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern was downed by Southern Nazarene 70-49 after a slow start in the final home game of the season.

Santiago Camacho Gomez led the Savage Storm with 12 points and added six rebounds to his totals.
Deondre Dunn pulled down a team-high seven rebounds and chipped in seven points along with
Ethan Wilkerson,
Jalen Williams and
Augusto Toledo.

The blue and gold shot 38.9 percent from the field and were 5-of-15 from beyond the arc for a 33.3 percent clip. SNU outrebounded the Storm 35-30, while SE had 25 trips to the foul line, converting 16 shots.

Points were hard to come by early for the Savage Storm, which allowed SNU to build a 6-2 gap at the first media break, and that soon grew to 10-2 out of the timeout. A Dunn three-pointer ended the Crimson Storm's run, and Camacho Gomez followed with a second triple to pull within six, 14-8. The Savage Storm continued to struggle to find rhythm in the first half, with the visitors' lead growing to 23-10.

Southeastern's next two baskets came from Camacho Gomez and Williams, but the Crimson Storm reeled off 15 points during this stretch, holding a 33-14 edge. The Savage Storm would head into the halftime break trailing 37-15 after one period of play.

SE opened the scoring for the second half with a three-pointer by Wilkerson, who would combine with Camacho Gomez for the next six points. SNU answered back with a flurry of scores to extend its lead to 52-26 at the 11:55 mark. Toledo had three of the next five points for the blue and gold and later capped off a 5-0 run with a three-pointer, 58-36.

The Savage Storm then rattled off an 8-2 run across the next two and a half minutes, but Southern Nazarene would control the final minutes of the game, winning 70-49. Southeastern (8-19, 7-14 GAC) closes out the regular season on the road at Southwestern Oklahoma State on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 3 p.m.
