EDMOND, Okla. – At the end of round one, Southeastern is fourth at the Diffee Ford Lincoln Invitational with a score of 25-over 305.
The Savage Storm leads six different GAC schools after one round of play, while Southwestern Oklahoma State sits first at 11-over 291. SE is one stroke better than Harding, who is tied for fifth, and rounding the top five, Central Oklahoma is second, and Nebraska-Kearney is in third.
Carley Button turned in the best score of the day for the Southeastern lineup, firing in a 3-over 73. Button shot 1-under par on the front half of the course with a pair of birdies and followed with a 4-over par score on the back nine.
Karen Kim sits two strokes behind Button with a 5-over 75 after shooting even par and 5-over par on the front and back nine, respectively.
Kaeli Drake turned in an 8-over 78 on day one, while
Addison Oestreicher recorded a 9-over 79. Drake saw her best play of the round on the back nine, and Oestreicher would fire in her best play on the front half. Rounding out the day,
Ally Richard finished the round for the Storm 14-over 84.
