DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern connected on seven total homers over Saturday's twinbill, picking up an 11-6 win in game one, but were unable to get the Saturday sweep, falling in the finale 10-6 against Oklahoma Baptist.

The split moves the Savage Storm to 20-13 overall on the season and 12-9 in Great American Conference play.

Isaac Villa,
JJ Bush,
Payton Poole, and
Jacob Ambriz each recorded two hits in game one, while
Ryan Kirk,
Jax Heid, and
Alex Showalter added one each.

Villa homered twice in the game, while Kirk and Poole each added one.

Bush, Poole and Ambriz each added a double as well.

Villa drove in four runs on the contest, with Ambriz plating three, while Kirk, Bush, and Poole drove in one each.

Daniel Collins got the start and took a no decision after allowing five runs on six hits over four innings.

Cody Pfeffer followed and picked up the win after allowing a run on two hits over two innings.

Brock Zimmer closed out the contest and picked up the save after throwing three innings and allowing just one hit.Â

OBU opened up with a 2-0 lead on a two-run homer in the top of the first inning.

SE responded in the bottom half, first on a Kirk solo homer to cut the deficit in half.

The Storm converted a double steal at first and third to tie the game and then followed with back-to-back RBI doubles from Poole and Ambriz to push the lead out to 4-2 after one.

Villa extended the lead to 5-2 with a solo homer in the bottom of the second, but OBU would knot the game at 5-5 with a five-run top of the fourth inning.

The Bison led off the top of the sixth inning with a solo homer to take a 6-5 lead, but it would not last long as Ambriz led off the bottom half of the inning with a solo homer to tie the game at 6-6.

Later in the inning Villa connected on a three-run homer to regain the lead at 9-6 and after loading the bases, Ambriz would get hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in his second at bat of the inning, pushing the lead to 10-6 through six innings.

Bush tacked on a run in the bottom of the seventh with an RBI double down the right-field line to make the score 11-6.

Zimmer would work through the seventh, eighth, and ninth innings without allowing a run to earn the save and preserve the 11-6 win.

In the finale,
Logan Rose posted a pair of hits, while Villa, Kirk, Bush, Olson,
Easton Ford, and
Jax Heid each logged a hit.

Kirk, Bush, and Heid each homered, with Kirk and Heid driving in two runs each while Bush and Showalter added an RBI apiece.

Estevan Fonseca got the start and took the loss after going 3.2 innings and allowing five runs, three earned, on four hits with four walks and three strikeouts.

Austin Hillebrandt recorded one-third of an inning and allowed a hit.

Brayden Phelps allowed two runs on two walks in one-third of an inning and
Carson Abbott followed by allowing three runs on two hits in a third of an inning.

Juan Berrios logged 1.1 scoreless innings and
Jacob Fuller tossed the final inning, allowing a hit and striking out two.

Kirk connected on a two-run homer in the third inning to open scoring, but the lead would not last long as OBU put up five runs in the top of the fourth.

Southeastern closed the gap to 5-4 in the bottom half of the fourth as Heid connected on his own two-run home run.Â

The Bisons followed with another five-run outing in the top of the fifth.

Showalter drove in a run in the sixth and Bush added a solo homer in the seventh as the Storm closed the final tally to 10-6.
